Labels in Europe instruct consumers to boil water. Consistent with that approach, the label for Aptamil recommends heating water first to 160°F (70°C) and letting it cool to approximately 100°F (40°C).
Step 1
Wash hands and surfaces, pour desired amount of warm water approximately 100° F (40° C) into a clean bottle.
Step 2
Using the scoop provided, level off the powder. Add the correct measure of powder to the water.
Step 3
Mixing instructions require 1 scoop (4.6g) per 1 fluid ounce (30mL) of water.
Step 4
Cap bottle and shake well until powder is dissolved. Feed immediately and discard used formula within 2 hours.
Step 5
Store open and unopened containers in a dry area at room temperature and use contents within 4 weeks of opening.
Your baby’s health depends on carefully following the preparation, use and storage instructions on the label. Failure to follow these instructions could result in severe harm. Before preparing the infant formula, make sure to always wash your hands, and thoroughly wash bottle and feeding utensils in hot soapy water before each use. Ask your baby’s doctor about the need to boil or sterilize water for formula and the proper preparation of bottle and feeding utensils.
Warning: Do not use a microwave to prepare or warm formula, serious burns may occur. Do not freeze and avoid any extreme temperatures. Close the opened container tightly with the plastic lid. Do not reuse container. Do not use if inner or outer seal is damaged or missing.
